I am designing SMSP with power factor correction. The reference design is based on UCC28600 120-W Evaluation board. The power factor correction outputs upto 390V. I am looking for a transformer replacement for the one used for the UCC28600 section, that is, the FA2443-ALC manufactured by Coil. The transformer category used is signal transformer, is this different from flyback transformer? Also, concerning the input range, most SMSP transformers primary input are rated 85-265 VAC, can this be used for the 390V from the output of the power factor correction to the input of the transformer used in UCC28600? In other words, do you have any recommended cost effective transformer that can be used instead of FA2443-ALC? Input range upto 390V, Output 19-24VDC, 5-6A
