We are working on designing a BMS to manage the charging and discharging of a 6S battery. The BMS is intended to be incorporated into a drone, so it needs to have the smallest possible weight and size. The idea is to be able to charge the batteries without removing them from the drone and without turning it off. Initially, the charging current will be approximately 4A, and the discharge current can peak at 60A with a nominal current of around 30A.
In a preliminary review, we have decided to use the BQ40Z80, but we would like to know if there is another component more suitable for our purpose.
