Hi, do you have a transformer recommendation for a 5V/12.95W design (Class 3)? The EVKs and reference designs seem to only be for 7W/10W designs.

Thanks for reaching out!

PMP9175 (www.ti.com/.../PMP9175) is a reference design for 5V/2.3A Class-3. PA6340-AL is used as transformer.

Hi Diang, thanks for your feedback. The PA6340-AL is shown to be rated for 10W per the data sheet, I see it is tested to 11.5W for the reference design. We need a solution for full 12.95W - do you think this transformer can still be used?

If you use sync FET on the secondary side. ldt1018-50r (https://www.linkcom.com.tw/data/goods/spec/file/1649747156277685505.pdf) could be used here.

If you use diode on the secondary side. POE13P-50L (https://www.coilcraft.com/getmedia/17806600-c691-4260-960c-34ad5e7a1dd1/poe_ep.pdf) or POE13F-50L (www.coilcraft.com/.../poe_trans.pdf) could be used.
