LM66100: Is LM66100 is a good alternative to LTC4412?

Part Number: LM66100
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS2116

Hi team,

Can I know what's our solution compared to ADI LTC4412?

LM66100-Q1 seems to be similar, but it can only achieve automatic switch between to power supply based on the voltage comparison. How we can control the power supply by ourselves?

Will TPS2116 a good fit?

Regards,

Xiaoying

  • Hi Xiaoying,

TPS2117 (lower Rdson and slightly longer switching time than TPS2116) would be the best solution. It removes need for an external diode and MOSFET, has much lower Iq, and can be configured in more ways than LTC4412, including giving priority to a source if it is higher than a user-defined voltage, automatically switching between the highest source, and manually switching with a GPIO.

    Thanks,

    Patrick
