BQ40Z80: If setting BQ40Z80 to emergency shutdown mode, can SHUTDOWN pin (PIN17) be configured to Pull-high internally?

Part Number: BQ40Z80

Hi There,

For some purpose, I may configure PIN17 as emergency SHUTDOWN pin. To fulfill my target, I would like the pin is pull-high? I got some questions.

1. Can this pin be configured as Pull-high?

2. From TRM of BQ40Z80, to trigger EMSHUTDOWN/WAKEUP function, a level high-to-low shift needs to present on this pin. Am I correct?

3. Does a low-to-high shift on this pin trigger mode change as well?

  • Hi Alex,

    1. I believe this pin is already an active high, so I do not believe it does not need to be pulled high when set in shutdown.

    2. This is correct.

    3. I do not believe that a low to high shift will trigger the mode change.
