HI ti team

I am having a problem using BQ25798.When I set FORCE_IBATDIS=1, how do I check to see if it is running? Will BQ25798 enter HIZ mode when VBAT pin is detected no battery?If my battery takes about 3s to wake up and I enable the FORCE_IBATDIS function, will it fail to charge due to a false detection of no battery

Hi QH,

For checking it, you can use an oscilloscope with current probe or measure the voltage across a series resistor. 798 does not enter HiZ even if no battery is attached. I do not recommend enabling FORCE_IBATDIS if your battery takes 3s to wake up. The charger waits 1.5s for the battery protector to close and then starts charging the small BAT pin capacitance. The charger cycles between charge, termination, recharge until your battery wakes up.
