LP5891: LP5891 vhdl implementation

Part Number: LP5891

Hi,

Do you have any guidance for the developpment of the driver on FPGA, any soucres?

Can I base my developpment on the "How to Implement Custom Serial Interfaces Using the Configurable Logic Block (CLB)" application note or there is a specific application note for this kind of target?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best Regards.

Etienne D

  • Hi Etienne D,

can I know why you need to drive the LED Driver?

we use the CLB block of c2000 to build the CCSI interface so you directly use c2000 as the controller.

by the way, did you determine your FPGA type? if yes, we can provide the support with your engineer to build the interface but from our side, we just provide the timing requirement.

  • Hi,

We are making matrix led for low power display application.

Our matrix led is monochromatic and have 96x32 leds.

We already have a board with FPGA (spartan7) on it to drive our previous martix.

    Best regards.

  • Hi Etienne,

what's the end application? do you need the automotive version?

2 stackable LP5891 seems really suitable for your device. The CLB block is similar with the FPGA so we can provide the example code of C2000, do you think that will be helpful?

or if you have any concern about the protocol, please contact me.
