TPS389C03-Q1: TPS389C03-Q1 related issues

Part Number: TPS389C03-Q1

Hi,

TPS389C03-Q1 monitors 3.3V voltage, but after power on, the register is not configured. The voltage exceeds the threshold voltage and is reset. The program cannot be programmed. Do you have any good suggestions or instructions for using the chip?

Thanks!

  • Hi Jeno,

Our team is currently looking into your inquiry. Due to the up coming holiday, our response might be delayed.

  • Hello,

To better assist can you inform me of what your procedure is currently? such as what registers you are trying to access? and are you aware of your device address?

  • What I want to ask is that the power on threshold is not set, and the threshold is default. However, the monitoring voltage will exceed the default value. How can we solve this problem? Do you have any good suggestions?

  • Hello,

If I understand the question correctly at start up the voltage applied to the monitors will not satisfy the default monitor thresholds and this is leading to an interrupt, correct?

Unfortunately TPS389C03-Q1 will begin to fully monitor a voltage at startup. One option would be to clear the interrupts at start up and changed the thresholds to the desired values. We also offer custom variants of TPS389C03 with thresholds selected by the user, though this is dependent on the size of the opportunity. If you are interested in learning more about this option I can reach out to you over email.
