TPS40170: TPS40170-Q1

Part Number: TPS40170
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5145, LM5146

What is the minimum tON(min) regardless of Vin and fsw? We need this value to calculate the maximum fsw to use under a certain operating Vin and Vout.

The tON(min) spec in the datasheet has test conditions (Vin and 300kHz fsw) associated, which is confusing. The absolute minimum tON should have nothing to do with Vin and fsw, right?

  • Hello Alan

Would you please use an interpolation to find the minimum controllable pulse at the VIN you want ? Unfortunately, we haven't characterized the device to find the absolute minimum controllable on-time over VIN and VOUT.

Also, new, similar products available. Please consider these devices if not too late.
