LM22672-Q1  have the certification of  AEC-Q100 Grade 1  Qualified.

 According to the TI document: "Can Automotive-qualified ICs Be Used in Industrial Applications?"

LM22672-Q1 CDM is 500V.

I also checked with our Test Engineer,  LM22672-Q1 is Q-grade , the CDM should be >750V.

Thank you very much. That means LM22672-Q1 is tested and can guarantee CDM>750V. The LM22672 ( industrial grade) has not been tested and his CDM value is unknown. In other words, it can be said that LM22672-Q1 is more reliable and probably higher in CDM value than LM22672 ( industrial grade)?

For Q-grade devices, the datasheet usually mark the CDM VESD as 750V.  (Actually the  VESD  is much higher, but we just mark it as 750V for consistent) .

For industrial devices, the value would be 500V. (Same as the former description, it actually pass higher VESD, but we unify as 500V).

The LM22672 ( industrial grade)  of course also has been tested . But he specific data is not available now, but what we can make sure is that it is >500V.

So can I assume that the LM22672-Q1 is better than the LM22672 (industrial grade) in terms of ESD (CDM) ? If I use LM22672-Q1 instead of LM22672 ( industrial grade) in product, can improve the reliability of  product?

They may have same ESD value but since now we don't have the data. So I think yes you can assume the LM22672-Q1 CDM as >750V and LM22672 CDM as >500V.
