Hi team,

My customer do validating with EVM.

They set Rsns=300mOhm + Analog Dimming function so that Isns is limited 300mA.

When they input PWMIN=10%, EVM shows Open LED Detected but LED still light. Is this correct operation?

If correct, this is error description, right? V(isp-isn)=300mOhm*300mA*10%=9mV(Open LED Detected)

The data sheet says that Vdaig outputs the voltage according to the voltage V(isp-isn).
So, the output voltage of VDAIG is also output in a PWM-like waveform?

Hi, Youhei,

Yes, the output voltage of VDAIG should be in a PWM-like waveform and you may detect OPEN when dimming FET is off.

You may also capture DIAG pin waveform to see what happens.

Hi, Youhei,

What is your concern? What does it mean EVM shows open LED detected but LED still light? Can you share tested waveform of DIAG pin together with input PWMIN?

Again, the output voltage of VDAIG should be in a PWM-like waveform and you may detect OPEN when dimming FET is off.
