TPS3899-Q1: Schematic ON/OFF section Review

Hello,

Earlier we are using LTC2954CTS8-1#TRMPBF, Now we are planning to replace with TPS3899DL01DSERQ1.

Could you please review the connection of power ON/OFF control IC TPS3899DL01DSERQ1.

We are controlling Buck/Boost IC using push button IC.

+VSYS voltage range- 3v-4.2v

Please let us know your opinion regarding TPS3899DL01DSERQ1 can replace on above schematic.?

Hi Hitesh

This schematic looks good.

I belive you want to pull down the En after around 600 ms when the button is pressed and pull up the EN after 6.2 sec when the switch is released.

Hello Trailokya

After short button press EN need to continues high because buck/boost required EN high for enable state.

EN will go low in this case as you pull down the sense pin .

That means we can not operate buck/boost using this IC correct?

That is correct. RESET of TPS3899 will be latched to the switch.

TPS3422 is not latched to the swich and will start the buck.
