HI,
Can BQ25672 solidify some setting parameters inside?

Hi Reed,
Our experts are on holiday break. They will respond to you when they return.
Best Regards.
Hi Reed,
By solidify, do you mean have the charger retain those settings after power is removed? If so, the answer is no. The register settings return to default values if the watchdog timer expires or if VBUS and BAT pin voltages drop before their respective UVLO voltages.
Regards,
Jeff
Jeff, thank you for your feedback.
There are other issues as follows:
1. If the battery is not connected and the input is powered normally, and the CE PIN is pulled low, what is the voltage of VSYS at this time?
2. Resistance setting for charging temperature range, Is there a table for calculating resistance values based on battery NTC parameters?
3. the datasheet 8.3.6, How to understand this:
No battery or battery removed while charge enabled and TS pin function is disabled -
4. Do you have any relevant SDKs or software examples?
Hi Reed,
Regarding 1, SYS voltage pulses between BATREG setting and MINSYS setting as the BAT capacitors charge, terminate, recharge, repeat, assuming no TS fault due to missing thermistor.
Regarding 2, there is no table but attached is an excel spreadsheet that should help.3718.BQ2579X_TS_Calc.xlsx
Regarding 3, see my response to 1 above. With no battery, no TS fault and charge enabled, SYS and BAT pulse.
Regarding 4, linux driver for the family is at the link below. The driver simply helps with I2C register reads and writes.
Regards,
Jeff
Because the device is powered by DC 12V adapter, there is no use of USB d+d-. Please tell me how to deal with the d+d- pin without USB, and then how to deal with the useless QON pin, such as hanging?
Is there any other temperature rise data for BQ25672?
There are other issues as follows:
2.VBAT_UVLOZ set so low 2.4V or 2.6V, 2S battery conditions, what else will be useful? When will it be used?

Hi Shen,
If no battery, power applied, /CE=low and TS fault due to missing thermistor (i.e. TS not disabled), V(SYS) does not pulse.
Regarding VBAT_UVLO reports undervoltage lockout, meaning when the IC doesn't have high enough voltage for I2C to function and SDRV to turn on the shipFET if used in battery only mode (no input power).
Regards,
Jeff
Hi Shen,
You can use BQ25798 BQZ file for BQ25672. The BQZ file shows up to 5A charge current but BQ25672 is limited to 3A. Also, BQ25672 does not have backup mode like BQ25798.
Regards,
Jeff
Hi Shen,
In IINDPM, V(SYS) = V(BAT) because the BATFET turns on full to support the load on SYS.
Regards,
Jeff
