When using the bq78PL114 Battery Management controller, is there any reason the sense resistance cant be changed to 1 or 3 mohms? obviously the hardware OC and SC parameters will need to be changed accordingly. These values of sense resistance are allowable for the s12 version, though as we have manufactured packs with the bq78PL114 installed, the temp sensor configuration is different, preventing us from upgrading.
