LMG2100R044: Can it achieve 100% duty cycle with isolated power supply?

Hello,

Can I achieve 100% duty cycle if I use isolated power supply and connect it between HS and HB?

[of course I also connect the VCC to other power supply] 

If yes:

  • The isolated power supply voltage should be 5V? 
  • Do I need to add diode between the isolated power supply and pin HB to avoid current from the internal bootstrap mechanism to the power supply?

    Hi Ariel,

    Yes, we can achieve 100% duty cycle if using isolated power supply and connect it between HS and HB.

    • The isolated power supply voltage connected between HB to HS should be between 4V to 5.25V in normal operating conditions.
    • There is no need to connect diode between the isolated power supply and pin HB as there is already internal bootstrap diode.
