LM5185EVM-SIO: LM5185EVM-SIO EVM support 2.5A output

Hi Team,

our customer is evaluating LM5185EVM-SIO and modify EVM support below requirement.

Vin=12~57V, Vout=12V, Iout=2.5A

We have modified EVM circuit VFB resistor and got 12V output, however output current limit at 1.2A.

We tried parallel two Rshunt resistor (0.02 ohm) but current still limit at 1.2A.

Is there other circuit we need to modify? Can LM5185EVM-SIO transformer support 2.5A output?

Hello

According the Webench you can not get 2.5A with your application specifications.

You may need to increase your minimum input voltage or decrease your maximum load current

specification.

Can you give us your schematic with the component value changes that you made to the EVM.

Also, please share the SW node waveform during normal and overload conditions.
