TPS1663: Reverse Current

. I am working on a project where I need to limit the current from a battery, and I also need to charge the battery (reverse current) through the device. If on, the pass transistor should provide a low impedance, but I cannot tell from the datasheets if the protection circuits will keep the pass transistor on during reverse current.

Hi Wayne,

Thanks for reaching out. FET will be on. TPS1663 does not have reverse current blocking.

Hello Kunal,

Thanks for the response. I need a part that limits the current out of a battery but allows current into the battery for charging. I read your response to say that the pass transistor is on for both current directions, with current protection only in the normal current mode.
