BQ34Z100-R2: Chem ID for new cell, accuracy at low temp

Part Number: BQ34Z100-R2

Hi there,

I'm working on setting up the fuel gauge with a custom cell (8C 3250mAh LCO HV in an 8S module)

I understand I can run a room temp relax - discharge - relax cycle and submit the logs to match Chem ID by analysing DoD. But that might not match to a cell with similar characteristics at different temperatures

Is this where the "Gauging Parameter Calculator (GPC) Resistance Temperature Compensation and Golden GG maker tool" comes in?

Our Cell supplier has offered to provide us with a ChemID. Could you explain how a new ChemID would be derived, for a newly produced cell?

How best can we optimise gauge performance at 10degC and high C-rates?

Thanks,

George
