Hi Frank,

An automotive battery rail is subject to many transients, and those should be taken care by the transient protection circuit. Others including the reverse battery protection, EMI filter, and dc-dc conversion stage can be implemented in power stage circuit. Causes of automotive battery voltage variations is shown in the diagram below:

E Mark is the EU certification to ensure the electric device can sustain those transients.

or whether we have total solution or relative IC combination?

Thank you.

The TPS device you mention does not have protection against most of those kind of transient.

You will need to search the TI website for suitable input protection devices to use with one of our regulators.
