I am writing to inquire about an issue we are experiencing with bq Studio in relation to the recognition of the evaluation module (BQ76952EVM) that I am currently using. Upon clicking OK, the studio does bring me in; however, I am uncertain whether this is the recommended or safe procedure.
Could you please provide insights or guidance on this matter at your earliest convenience?

There is no risk from manually selecting the bqz, however I've noticed that you do not have the latest version of the bqz listed (0.36), which may be why the auto detect is not functioning as expected.
You could try reinstalling the latest version of BQSTUDIO-TEST here: BQSTUDIO Application software & framework | TI.com.
You could also manually add the bqz file to the config folder of bqStudio. I believe the default install path for this folder is: C:\ti\BatteryManagementStudio\config.
