TPS65987D: How to delay transmitting sink capabilities to a source until needed

Hello, I am utilizing the TPS65987D as a sink that is attached to charging ports via CC lines (my source which is a TPS65988) for testing. I am looking for a way to program the TPS65987D using the TI Application Customization tool such that the sink does not attached to my source upon power up but rather begins unattached from the sources perspective until I request it to transmit its sink capabilities at a later time. More specifically I need the Type C State Register of my source to read as an unattached source. Is there is way to achieve this through the firmware generated by the TI Application customization tool, or by altering the configuration on ADCIN1 while the source and sink remain physically connected on the CC lines?

May I know how do you plan to tell TPS65987D that it is right time change from unattached state to attached state after the delay has elapsed?

The option we have available would most likely be a toggle on a GPIO pin. I assume you cannot push 4CC commands from the sink down to the source via the CC lines especially since we are hoping to have the CC lines appear unattached. If there is a mapped event available to apply to the GPIO pin rather than use it as a simple toggle this may work better but that is the most likely right.

I am unfamiliar with the purposes of the listed mapped events below. is there a recourse that can explain the functionality of these? Would any be beneficial to my goal?

Refer page 77 and please check if you can make use of GPIO event 55.
