TPS650861: The expected programming way for OTP programming for mass production

Part Number: TPS650861

Hi team,

May I know the expected programming way for OTP programming for mass production? Only the way to use BOOSTXL-TPS650861?

Best regards,

Shunsuke Yamamoto

  • Hello Shunsuke,

Thanks for reaching out. The device expert is out of office due to public holiday in US. So, please expect delay in response by tomorrow.

  • Hi Shunsuke,

In the past we have recommended Arrow to provide mass programming services but they may no longer provide that service for the TPS650861. I would reach out to them to confirm this but if they are still providing the programming service you could consider this option for mass production.

Otherwise you would need to set up your own programming flow based on the steps outlined in the TPS65086100 Non-Volatile Memory Programming Guide.

You do not necessarily need the BOOSTXL board for programming as long as you can provide 1.8V or 3.3V pull-up source for SDA and SCL, I2C commands using some communication software, 7V on CTL4 and IRQB pins for entering programming mode and burning in the settings respectively, and >5.6V on VSYS during the programming process.

Details are in the programming guide linked above.

    Regards,

    James
