Dear Team,

I want to use the BQ25750 in MPPT mode to charge a big LiFePo4 Battery. To increase the power and to get a second MPPT, I want to use two BQ25750 in parallel. Is this possible ?

Yes, that is possible if both BQ25756 ICs have their own separate power source.

Hello Nicco,

Thanks for working with us. I realize I read the part number of your first question wrong. I have a few questions.

The BQ25750 is a power path charger. How are you planning on using the power path functionality?

What's your desired charge current? What's the voltage and power of each solar panel?

I think the BQ25756 would work better for you application. The setup would be simpler.

Hello Ethan,

The Batterie should be connected in parallel with a load wich is adjustable. Depending on our requirements part of the power produced will be loaded in the battery the rest is used to power the load. I want to connect two chargers in parallel. Each of them should be suitable to provide around 10A of power to the battery (48V). The panels have a maximum of 500W Power and a voltage of around 40V.

Hello Nicco,

Thanks for the clarification. It sounds like the BQ25756 will be the best fit for your application.

To determine whether power goes to the load or the battery, you might have to dynamically change the charge current of the BQ25756 with an MCU depending on the load.
