BQ76952: shutdown

Part Number: BQ76952

Hello ti Expert!

Some Protections I might like to ask some protections when using bq76952. During the initial power-on, my pre-discharge set 1s timeout. During the initial power-on, the pre-discharge performance of the device was normal, but when the device entered shutdown, I used TS2 to wake up, and reconfigured the register immediately after the wake up (the same as the initial power-on). However, when I opened CHGFET and DSGFET at this time, the device showed that only CHGFET was opened, and DSGFET remained closed at this time. I would like to ask how this situation happened. Is it because it takes a long time for the shutdown to work properly after normal?

Looking forward to your reply.

thanks.

  • Hello Zhang,

Did you confirm that the device entered shutdown as intended? Also, did you read the settings back to make sure all was properly written to the registers?

When PDSG is set, it should automatically turn-on when DSG is on. Now, I am wondering, how are you turning on the DSG FET? Is FET_EN enabled?

Can you send your configuration settings?

    Best Regards,
