TPS65219: TPS6521908 Availability

Part Number: TPS65219

Hello,

We are planning to use TPS65219 for powering AM6234 processor. We want to use 0.85V as VDD_CORE and we are planning to use LPDDR4 in our design. The only variation of TPS65219 we can use are TPS6521902 and TPS6521908, but TPS6521908 are not available in the market. So I'm wondering when would the part TPS6521908 be available?

Thanks

Santosh

  • Hi,

Thank You for using E2E! How much inventory do you need for TPS6521908? Is this inventory for prototype/evaluation or for production?

From ti.com, we are expecting more inventory on March.

    Thanks,

    Brenda

  • Hello Brenda,

We are in the design phase as of now. So we are evaluating whether to use TPS6521908 or TPS6521902 based on availability. When I checked TI website it shows out of stock for me.

  • Hi,

Is the material needed for prototype phase/evaluation or production? How many units are needed? I'll wait for the responses on these questions but in the meantime, here are some recommendations:

    • For prototype/evaluation (low quantity): You could use the TPS6521905 (user-programmable version) and re-program the NVM to match the TPS6521908 configuration using the programming board and the GUI. We can provide a config file with the TPS6521908 settings that can be easily uploaded into the GUI to re-program the PMICs.

    • For production: I would recommend waiting until we get more inventory on March or work with your local TI representative to evaluate ways to expedite production material or samples.

    Thanks,

    Brenda

  • Hello Brenda,

We are still in the prototype phase. It will be March by the time we have our first prototype boards ready. Will TPS6521908 be readily available after March? It will help us make a decision to choose right part.

    Thanks,

    Santosh

  • Hi,

I would recommend reaching out to the local TI sales/representative to get the latest information on the production material availability.

For prototype/validation, we can assist with the PMIC re-programming option if you are interested.

    Thanks,

    Brenda

  • Hello Brenda,

Thanks for your suggestions. Since the footprints are the same for all the variants, we decided to create a variant of our design, that is we will use the 02 version now and when the 08 version becomes available, we will use that.

    Thanks,

    Santosh
