Hi Applo,

Yes, you can. Ferrite beads may have more tolerance than a typical ballast resistor, but this tolerance may not be in the datasheet. You may need to contact the ferrite bead manufacturer to understand the DC resistance tolerance, or measure it yourself across your temperature range using a milli-ohm meter.

For your reference, the TPS7A96 is the same as the TPS7A94, but with more current. The TPS7A96 = 2A output while the TPS7A94 = 1A output.

But TPS7A96 Min Input supply voltage is 1.9V and TPS7A94 is 1.7V.

Is it possible to use 1.8v input for TPS7A96?

Hi Applo,

Unfortunately the TPS7A96 needs 1.9V minimum on the input, so if you need to use 1.8V then you'll need to use the TPS7A94.
