LM5148: Are there timing requirements for VIN, VCCX, and EN?

Part Number: LM5148
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5116

Hello!

I am early in a design that uses the LM5148 in several DC/DC blocks and would like to take advantage of the power dissipation reduction by

supplying VCCX after all regulators are up.

  • I notice that the internal regulator can supply up to 100+ ma. I am trying to find out the typical supply current not including gate charge. If low enough, I won't bother with an external VCCX. In my earlier LM5116 designs, it was worth the effort.
  • In a multi-LM5148 design are there any issues with connecting VCCX pins together even if each block is sequenced independently of each other?
  • Are there any timing constraints on EN and VCCX when powering down the DC/DC? In this early design I was driving both EN and VCCX with 5.5 VDC from the same bench supply and when I turned this supply off, I blew both upper and lower FETs.

I appreciate any input on this matter.
