LM25149-Q1: Is it necessary to add an external freewheeling diode to CBOOT?

Part Number: LM25149-Q1

Hi team,

According to the EVM schematic diagram, we see the freewheeling diode of CBOOT. I understand that according to the synchronous Buck topology, when both MOS are off, that is, during the dead time, the current at the SW point is passed through VCC. Freewheeling to ensure that the output does not drop significantly during the dead time and to prevent current from flowing into VCC during the 1-D period.
The customer's question is that there is a pull-up diode in the internal structure of the chip. Is it necessary to add this diode externally?
