Hi, 

 While using LM5157 and LM5158 Quickstart Calculator for SEPIC Regulator Design tool, what does the recommended inductance (LM_calc) signifies? Is this the inductance of the coupled inductor when its coils are connected in parallel? If not, please clarify.

    Thanks for using the e2e forum and our quickstart calculator tools.

    The recommended inductance gives a value for the selected primary side inductance of the coupled inductors. The calculators assume that a coupled inductor is used per default.
    The inductance defines the overall current ripple and the entrance point from CCM to DCM operation at light loads.
