TPSM63608: Webench power designer doesn't allow to set the preferred frequency

Part Number: TPSM63608
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPSM63610

When i tried to run the sumaltion for 1V8 @ 0.8A , 1MHz it doesnt allow the change in frequency. By default it is in 0.2MHZ.

  • Hello,

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. It appears that changing the User Preferred Frequency does not update the design so I will need to get back to the WEBENCH team to see if they can fix this. When I get more information on this I will let you know.

In the meantime, is there a reason why you are using the TPSM63608 for a low current 0.8A application?

    Regards,

    Jimmy

  • Hello Jimmy Hua,

I am working on AP design where multiple rails like 3V3, 1V8,1V5,1V05,0V88 are used.

    1)For better Efficiency

    2)To optimize the BOM

Could you please help me with Pspice model also, when i tried opening the model it says "it is not avialble in pspice library"

    Thanks

    Dharma

  • Hello Dharma,

Please use the TPSM63610 PSPICE model for evaluation. The two devices have the same internals other than current limit.

For purpose of evaluation TPSM63610 should work for general simulation needs.

    Regards,

    Jimmy
