TPS65381A-Q1: Most recent version of the Power Estimator Excel file

Hi experts,

I have found two forum posts linking to power estimator Excel file:

The original post (2018)
An updated post (2022)

In the original file, there is a green section (rows 33-49) that show the computed results. In the updated file, these green rows are missing, and no values appear to be computed.

Is the updated file incorrect, or incompatible with Office 365? I'd appreciate if a corrected version could be shared.

Hello,

I just tried the updated file myself, from the updated post from 2022, and all the calculations are working. I am opening the file with Office Standard 2019 installed on a Windows 10 computer. I do not know about Office 365.

The input fields are marked in yellow, and the computed results can be seen on the right under VDD6, VDD5, VDD3/5 and VSOUT1 tables.

Could it be an issue with Office 365 then ?

Thanks, Florian. When I use the older sheet, I also see the green output boxes in the sheet, see picture below. With the new sheet, those are not included and I don't see any green outputs. I do see some of the numbers in the right columns work, as you described.

Hello,

I have requested more information about the history of the file. With the exception of the missing internal device power table, the rest of the file provides the same results. Mostly the form was modified. You should be able to use either file for now.

I will get back to you when more information is made available to me.

I was not able to retrieve information about the changes, therefore I suggest you use the older version until we clear up uncertainties.
