    Hi Jack, 

    Thank you for the question! This table highlights the differences between the A and B versions in detail. Regarding your second question, we do not recommend new systems using the UCx52x family. The TL494 controller can be implemented in place for the UC2525A/B for new designs, but any existing systems would need a redesign as it is not pin to pin with the UC2525A. It is a versatile controller to be used in a variety of applications and will be supported well into the future in our 300mm factories.
