TPSM63603: Can a 1K pull-up to 5 volts be used to power an LED on the PG pin

Part Number: TPSM63603

The datasheet mentions that the PG pin as "The typical range of pull-up resistance is 10 kΩ to 100 kΩ"  I was wondering if a 1K pull-up to 5 volts can be used on the PG to power an LED?
