TPS2HB50-Q1: Capacitive load inrush current control

Hello there,

While using a capacitive load at the output of this IC it is taking a huge inrush current. The Vout slew rate seems to be fixed at 0.4 V/µs which is quite fast to control the inrush.

Is there any way to control the inrush current in a capacitive load ??

Hi Niki,

TPSxHBxx devices are immediate shutdown devices. To fill capacitors, we recommend devices that clamp current. I would propose looking at the new TPS1HC30 which is a single channel current clamping 30mOhm device.
