Hello, we want to monitor some Supercaps with the BQ79612 chip. Therefore, we use an external power supply to measure the voltage range between 0 – 3V for State of Charge and State of Health calculation.
According to the datasheet, a combined voltage (cell 1 + cell 2 + cell 3) higher 3V is recommended. Below the voltage, there were measurement deviations from cell 3 onwards.
Now we check the possibility to approximate the State of Charge of 36 Cells with only the first Cell voltage. In previous test, we cannot measure any major deviations at the first Cell. Can we assume that we can measure the entire measuring range at cell 1 exactly without any major measurement deviations? Can you guarantee the exact measurement of cell 1 in the measuring range 0 - 5V?
