BQ34Z100-G1: SOC/Remaining Capacity drops after Idle

BQ FW Version: 0100_0_16

Battery: 12s5p LF105

BQ Configuration: Golden Image was created on 12s1p and has been scaled to work with 12s5p battery.

After a complete battery cycle the SOC dropped from 100% -->74% -->73% -->66%. Battery received ~536Ah.

The SOC corrections all took place when the battery was left in Idle at 0A.

After reviewing the gg.csv pulled from the battery, cycle count never updated to 1.

What would be causing this to happen?

Data was monitored via BMS. Hope this is what you are looking for.

Hi Lucas,

Cycle Count should not affect SOC.

Me and my team will need a BQstudio log file to continue debugging your problem. Do you have an EV2400?

Hi Evan,

When exactly does cycle count update to 1?

I am under the impression that cycle count will update once termination voltages (high & low) are reached. Is this accurate?

Hi Lucas,

Cycle Count will increment when accumulated discharge >= Cycle count threshold.
