TPS54360: Current Limit Value at Start Up

Dear Specialists,

My customer would like to know current limit value at start up.

Could you please let me know.

---Questions

In case of TPS54360, the startup time is determined by 1024/fsw (according to data sheet P.16 7.3.8 Internal Soft-Start).

(1) Is it possible to apply the current limit values (4.5Amin/5.5Atyp/6.5Amax) in data sheet P.7 CURRENT LIMIT at this time?

(2) Data sheet P. 10 Figure 14. Switching Frequency vs FB, it indicates the switching frequency changes depending on the FB voltage.

At this time, is it possible to think that the current limit value is (4.5Amin/5.5Atyp/6.5Amax)?

    Hi Shinichi,

    Yes the current limit works for both of the scenario you mentioned. But for scenario#2, it's possible that the peak current exceeds the OCP. You can refer to the description in the datasheet P17. I also captured here for your reference.
