Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM4120
Dear Specialists,
My customer is considering REF3450T as a substitute for LM4120IM5-5.0/NOPB.
There are some difference between REF3450T and LM4120 and they have questions.
I would be grateful if you could advise.

We are considering the REF3450TIDBVR as a potential replacement for the LM4120.
I have the following concerns.
・Mount a 6-pin REF3450T on the originally 5-pin LM4120 pad. There will be no 5-pin pad. Is there a problem?
There are no parts or vias that could cause a short circuit to the surrounding area.
・NC pins are (1, 3, 5), 3 pin is shorted to Vin. (3pin and 5pin are open.)
Is it a problem to apply Vin to the NC pin?

I don't want to modify the board because it is used in an existing product.
We will adopt it if the concerns are resolved.

I appreciate your great help in advance.
Best regards,
