LM25149-Q1: About peak source current and peak sink current of LM25149-Q1.

Part Number: LM25149-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM25149

Hi team,

Do we have min and max "HO(LO) peak source current" and "HO(LO) peak sink current" value for LM25149?

Cause I only see there is typical value on datasheet.
Please let me know for reference.

regards,

  • Hi Yuka,

We don't have the measured data over process and temperature.

Please message me for more discussion.

  • Hi Orlando,

    Thanks for the reply.

I understand the content "There is no the data".

I have calculated the power consumption of the FET of the power supply using the LM25149.
I threw out that we need to consider the variability of peak source current and peak sink current.
Since it is a peak current, is it unnecessary to consider variations?

Or please let me know if I should look at 1.1 times the typ.

    regards,

  • Hello Yuka,

+/-20% of the typical is a good place to start.  When trying to calculate MOSFET rise and fall times, even the datasheet of the MOSFET is subjective, in that getting very accurate numbers is not possible.  Its recommended that you calculate the losses for the MOSFET in question and try out the MOSFET on the board, accommodating for some variation in the specifications, I think a derating of 10 to 20% is reasonable.  Hope this helps.

    David.

  • Hi David,

    Thanks for the reply.

    I understand the content.
As the variations, I would like to use +/-20% of the typical value.
Let's consider the variation of other parts.
