Hello experts,

We need to measure the phase margin and gain margin of the BUCK converter of the PMIC in the actual machine.

In conventional power supply device evaluation, we use FRA (Frequency Response Analyzer) for evaluation.

I would like to evaluate this PMIC as well, but how do you recommend the TI team to evaluate it?

Hi Kentaro,

there is no specific way to evaluate phase and gain margin of a PMIC and any method can be used if you have found it reliable. This app note discusses some phase/gain margin measurements. You can place a 50 ohm resistor in the feedback line and inject the test signal in the feedback pins side and measure the injected signal and output signal to get the phase and gain curves.
