TPS4H000-Q1: High EMI Noise on Input

Hi,

When I supply an Input High Signal there is High EMI irrespective of the Load being applied or not. The peaks are observed in the nearly a 10MHz step in the range of 30MHz-100MHz causing a failure in compliance. Please suggest some alternate part number or solution to reduce this EMI. Addition of 0.1uF Cap on VS did not help.

Hi Rishab,

Please use the following components placed as close to the device as possible for improving the EMC and EMI performance of the device. If you design has a GND network, please note that some components are to terminate at module GND and some at IC_GND.

I do not have a ground network. The addition of capacitors from VS to GND did not help

Hi Rishab,

The capacitors have to be placed in parallel and as close to the device as possible. Because of the ESR, we recommend using ceramic capacitors. From our internal testing, these set of capacitances helped the most in suppressing the noise generated from the internals of the device. If further filtering is needed, an external filter like a pi-filter can be used but we have no further recommendation.
