TPS3813K33DBVR - always RESETs even with WDI properly set

Part Number: TPS3813K33DBVR

Hello TI team,

For a product in development, we choose the TPS3813K33DBVR as external watchdog, connected to our microcontroller.

uC_nRST is the microcontroller reset signal, that reaches it and it’s internally pulled up.

U37 is closed and allow the /RESET to get the microcontroller.

WDT and WDR tied to 3,3V.

The abnormal behaviour that we see is that, although we follow the instructions of datasheet with WDI input, we always see that the IC18 puts the /Reset low, causing reset of microcontroller.

It seems like that IC18 neglects completely the WDI signal.

In attached, you find some screens from oscilloscope where green (CH2) wfm is WDI, while yellow (CH1) is /RESET and orange (CH3) is the VDD.

The pulse width now is 10 ms but we checked also with 40ms and the results is the same.

Could you please help us to understand what’s wrong with your chip or with our usage?

Thanks a lot
