LM2576S-ADJEVM: transistor technology

Part Number: LM2576S-ADJEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM2576

Hello,

My question is regarding the LM2576 series, more specifically the adjustable high voltage version;LM2576HVT-ADJ/NOPB.

I am interested to know whether this IC solely consists of bipolar transistors?

When studying the block diagram from the datasheet, it looks like this might be the case, at least for the main switching transistor.  However, what inside the other blocks would be guessing....

Is it possible for TI to confirm what type of transistor technology is used? (bipolar, MOSFET, or other types of FETs)

This would affect our design choices.

Thank you

BR
