TPS1HTC30-Q1: RILIM = GND

Hi Ncal,

The RILIM=open state and the RILIM=GND state are fault states of the device. This is to account for the situation where the RILIM resistor is damaged and fails short or fails open.

We do not specify the min and max in this case. For current limiting, please make sure to use a resistor between 10kOhm to 50kOhm on the ILIM pin.

According to data sheet spec, the TPS1HTC30-Q1 max current is up to 16A, how can I config that if RLIM between 10K-50K.
From my understanding the max current is 10A, and I need 12A.
Can I use RLIM<10K ?

The datasheet specification is referring to the range including the internal limit as well. We will aim to make this more clear in the next version of the datasheet.

The KCL is trimmed to work between 10kOhm and 50kOhm. Outside of this, the adjustable limit is not supported to datasheet accuracy. 

Apologies for the inconvenience. Please keep the RILIM between 10kOhm and 50kOhm.

According to TPS1HTC30EVM, jumper J9 will set RLIM to 7.5Kohm, this mean the KCL can work below 10Kohm

RLIM = KCL / ILIM = 100/13.33 = 7.5

Please advice.
