BQ24610: Switch between battery and input state

Part Number: BQ24610

Hi Team,

The customer encounters the following problem and needs your help.

In my design, the input voltage is 18V, and the 4-string lithium battery is 16.8V. When the battery is fully charged, it is disconnected and connected to the input terminal again. At this time, there is a problem with the detection status of STAT1, STAT2, and #PG. The indicator lights of STAT1 and STAT2 flash alternately, and the #PG indicator light also flashes all the time. I measured #ACDRV, #BATDRV, ACN, VCC, and found that AC SWITCH and BATTERY SWITCH have been switching.
But this doesn't happen when I raise the input voltage to around 18.5V, or when I set the battery voltage to around 16.1V.
Does the input voltage need to be higher than the battery voltage? How much higher do you need?
Regards,
Annie
