BQ79656EVM-021: wake up is ok，but auto address freeze

Hi,

There are a few things that could be causing this issue:

1. There is a hardware configuration issue on the EVM. Can you send a picture of the EVM? I will need to see the EVM version and jumper configuration. 

2. The USB2ANY is malfunctioning. To correct this, power cycle the device by unplugging it from the host/PC then plugging it back in. 

3. There is some issue with the GUI we have not yet observed. Once we get the answer to 1 we can replicate this issue in the lab and determine the cause.

1.The picture is captured from user guide. The jumper location on BQ79656EVM is showed by “blue”.

Plug and un-plug over 50times.

It is not USB2ANY malfunction issue.

There is one label on the EVM which is BQ79659EVM-021.

No other version of PCB is printed on PCB.

1. Wake the device

2. In the command tab, send a broadcast read for register 0x500?

Thank you for checking that. It looks like you are able to communicate, since we can get a response from the device. However, the GUI does not recognize the device because the PartID is not correct. There may be a workaround we can do, but just to double check can you try to read register 0x501 as well?
