TPSM33615: TPSM33615RDNR SW Node connection

Hi all,

I have a query about the TPSM33615RDNR, in the datasheet it shows the SW nodes (pins 5 and 6) connected internally. However, in the webbench tool for the part, it shows pins 5 and 6 connected together and on the TPSM33625 EVAL MODULE, has them connected on the schematic but not implemented on the design files.

As such my question is, does this need to be connected or can pins 5 and 6 be left floating ? Also, what is the purpose of exposing the pins, if no component is to be added to this pin?

Hi Curtis,

This is a module, so leaving the pins floating is fine. The reason for this is to reduce issues with noise/EMI.

Hi Richard so is the recommendation to have a single trace connect the two pin for EMI/EMC purposes?

I would not have the single trace connect the two pins at all in order to reduce the copper placed on these pins.
