TPS922055: High Power LED Flash Driver for Machine Vision

Part Number: TPS922055
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS92641
We use 10-20 microsecond flashes to illuminate the sample and capture images of the same during motion. We currently use a custom designed Buck-Boost Output Switching circuit using TPS55288 and a separate switching circuit for the illumination, it works well upto 100FPS, but we can observe intensity variations at higher FPS.
We were exploring other options and came across articles and dedicated circuits built specifically for Machine vision flash illumination applications. The TPS922055 IC is one of the ICs that we came across.
In our application, the maximum current could go upto 3.5A. Our cameras can operate up to 214Hz (Or FPS). Our input supply is 24V DC, and the LEDs being used operate in the 12-14V range.
We went through the datasheets of the IC as well as the EVM board and found out that the IC might suit our application. However we wanted to confirm if using TPS922055 is a better option or are there any other LED Driver IC's which might better suit us.
We're also developing various kinds of machine vision applications, along with pursuing EMI/EMC compliance so finalizing our flash illumination systems is very critical for us.
