Hi TIer,

I am study the phase shift full bridge by TIDU248 and I saw the D5 and D11 are not describable in document.

Could you help me to explain the D5 and D11 function and how to select the parameter for it? Thank you.

Hello,

Hello D5 and D11 are clamping diodes are required. When the design comes out of freewheeling there will be a difference in current between Ls and the transformer primary. These diodes give a place for that current to go. If you do not have these diodes it will cause the rectifiers on the secondary to fail.
