TPSM82823: Output capacitance

Hello,

In the datasheet section 9.2.1.2.3 it is mentioned that the maximum output capacitance should not exceed 47uF.

Is it ok to connect higher capacitance (a few hundreds of uF) through ferrite bead?

The Layout will be:

TPSM82823 with output capacitance of 22uF, Then a net of a few centimeters, Then a ferrite bead, Then 330uF.

    Hi Arkadi,

    From some previous lab measurements on this device family, the ferrite bead may not be sufficient to reduce the influence of large bulk caps on the control loop.

    I would recommend using the TPSM82813SIL here as this can handle higher output caps.
